Happy Wednesday, Everyone!
I have been thinking about making a shirt for my blog for a long time, and now I can say I finally have done it (with help from @hisgloryco).
I wanted to have a post dedicated to it in here so I can go into the meaning behind the design, and post the link in case anyone would like to get one too. Your support means so much to me, and I would love for you all to enjoy this shirt as much as I do!
The Big Reveal
The meaning behind the design
Raising small things with great love is the name of this blog. This blog started off as an idea of possible extra income for my family, and then turned more into a hobby. Now, it is part of who I am, and is a therapy for me to let out my thoughts and just write freely.
The name was inspired by Mother Teresa, and her quote “Do small things with great love” (it also lead me to start Friday Features). It has taken me a little bit of soul searching to realize that the small things I am meant to do right now are taking care of my kids. From going towards wondering if there was something more I could be doing with my life than “just staying at home” to realizing that staying home and raising my kids is what I am supposed to do has been a long journey for me.
And for those of you that have followed along from the beginning, you have followed me along this journey. I wrote about it in my post, “Am I meant for more”. It has taken this past year to realize that this is where God wants me right now. And I was thinking earlier today how one life can impact so many others lives.
While staying at home raising the kids may seem unimportant some days, it is actaully the most important thing I get the honor of doing. I think of how my ultimate goal is to become a saint, and lead my family towards sainthood. Then I think of all the saints and how their lives touched so many others. I am trying to raise saints, so that hopefully one day, they can touch the lives of others too.
There are 4 flowers on the shirt that represent my 4 kids. Flowers require constant care and attention to grow and bloom into the beautiful flowers they are meant to be. They need the right amount of water and sunshine to reach their full potential. Flowers are also the icon for my blog.
The colors of the shirt, royal blue with white writing, are a nod towards Mother Teresa.
Where can I buy one?
If you are interested in getting one of the shirts, I have attached the link here. You can use code Michelle20 for a discount! If you do get one, can you do me a favor and send a picture of you wearing it? I would love to see others enjoying it as much as I do! It would mean so much to me to see your support and to help spread the word about this blog too 🙂
